Maple, Class of 1969. Dale attended Kent State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies in 1973 and Master’s Degree in 1985. He taught at Maple Heights from 1974-2009, then was elected to two terms on the Maple Heights Board of Education where he served as Vice-President. Along with teaching, Mr. Walter also coached Volleyball and Basketball, and was a Student Council Advisor, Class Advisor, National Honor Society Advisor and Vice-President of the Maple Heights Teachers Association. In 2009, Dale created the Maple Alumni Association and helped to establish the Maple Education Foundation. Dale currently is living in San Diego, enjoying coaching volleyball, travel, sports, walking the dog and being with his daughter and son-in-law.
