Louis Raffis

Maple Class of 1977. Louis received his BS in Business Administration from Kent State University in 1981, and his MBA in Finance from Harvard University in 1986.  He served many years in the banking industry, most recently as the Senior Vice President, Capital Manager for KeyCorp in Cleveland, OH until retiring in 2018. Over the years, Louis raised over $2 billion in regulatory capital for KeyCorp and KeyBank, assisted in the acquisition of Ameritrust, Toledo Trustcorp, and several other banking entities, and was a member of the crisis management team through the financial crisis of 2007-2009.  Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Marketing and Membership Committee for the Kent State University Honors College Advisory Board (2004-Current) and recipient of the 2020 Honors College Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award). Cleveland Meeting and Events Coordinator of the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (2015-Current), President of the Garfield Heights Coin Club (1999-Current), Treasurer of the Renaissance Condominium Association (1999-Current), and current Treasurer of the Maple Education Foundation.  He is also an active collector of Ohio 19th Century paper money and member of St. Dominic’s Church Choir.
